Erika S. Woolsey, PhD

I am a marine biologist interested in coral reefs and climate change, frontier technologies, and science literacy. I am currently the CEO of the Hydrous, a nonprofit devoted to ocean education. 

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I completed my PhD with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Baird, Asst. Prof. Sally Keith, and Prof. Maria Byrne. I received my Masters of Applied Science in coastal management from the University of Sydney and my undergraduate degree from Duke University, where I studied biology and art history.
